The IEEE UTT Student Branch was officially established in April 2025, becoming the first IEEE Student Branch in the Grand Est region of France. Founded by a dynamic group of doctoral and master’s students from the NANO-PHOT Graduate School and the L2n Laboratory, the branch reflects UTT’s commitment to excellence in nanophotonics, optoelectronics, and beyond.

Supported by the L2n Laboratory (CNRS UMR 7076) and the EUR NANO-PHOT, our student branch is part of the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) network—the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
