Event Overview:
The IEEE DCE Student Branch of “Dronacharya College of Engineering” organized an engaging and
informative event titled “Fun Mock Interview Session” from 1 PM to 3 PM. The event aimed to enhance
students’ interview skills in a fun and interactive environment, providing them with valuable feedback on
resume building, technical knowledge, and soft skills.
Event Structure:
The session was divided into two main rounds:
Round 1: Resume Creation and Mock Interviews
In this initial phase, all registered students were gathered in classrooms. Each participant received a
resume template designed to incorporate both technical and fun elements. The template consisted of two
parts:
➢ Technical Skills: Participants were asked to fill out this section with their relevant technical expertise,
focusing on their strengths.
➢ Fun Questions: This part aimed to lighten the mood and allow students to express their creativity and
personality, making the experience enjoyable.
Once the resumes were filled, the participants underwent mock interviews conducted by teachers and IEEE
student leads. The interviewers used the information provided in the resumes to ask relevant questions
and assess each student’s skills, both technical and personal. Based on their performance, 50 students
were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2: Resume Building Session and Group Discussion
➢ The 50 selected students were then assembled in the seminar hall, where they were welcomed by
Pooja Khot Ma’am, who conducted a brief yet insightful session on resume building.
➢ She highlighted key tips for creating an impressive resume, including how to effectively showcase skills
and achievements to stand out in a competitive job market.
Following this, the students were divided into smaller groups for a group discussion. The discussions tested
the students’ communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, critical components in real-world
interviews. After thorough deliberation and observation, five winners were selected based on their
performance in the group discussion.

1. 1st Place: Aditya and Saksham (ECS 3rd Sem)
2. 2nd Place: Aditya (ECE 1st Sem)
3. 3rd Place: Prince (ECE 1st Sem)
4. 4th Place: Princy (ECS 1st Sem)
Conclusion:
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners. The “Fun Mock Interview Session” not only
provided students with hands-on experience in handling interviews but also offered them valuable
feedback on enhancing their resumes and soft skills. Overall, the event was a great success, contributing to
the personal and professional development of the participants while fostering a sense of camaraderie and
learning.
